Is it potential to love and hate character in Darkest Dungeon 2 at the same time ? Of naturally it is , and that is part of their charm ! For example , I was so proud of my team after one tough conflict . But as this is Darkest Dungeon , they decided to go mad , stab each other in the back , and die — the end . Well , until the next campaign , when I ’ll adore them again until they deceive me . Again . And that ’s Darkest Dungeon II in a nutshell .

Here are all characters available in Darkest Dungeon 2 , except the Bounty Hunter . Why ? Because you ca n’t pick him like other paladin , as he ’s a muscle - for - hire usable in Inns for a terms . I only played him several times ( for the cost of four Candles of Hope ) , so I ca n’t grade him with other " regulars . "
11. The Man-at-Arms
The Man - at - Arms name is Baristan ( by nonremittal , you could change it whenever you want ) , and he ’s a basal defender in Darkest Dungeon 2 . He ’ll roleplay as funding / armored combat vehicle but is not very useful in the offense . He can be subservient in the right party , but I seldom utilize him as I opt more offensive teams .
10. The Vestal
The Vestal ( Junia is her name ) is one of the favourite heroes from the original game . She ’s your distinctive healer with several useful offensive and support choice . you could use her in front membership , where she can use several offensive skill , but her born lieu is on the back end . I was surprised I did n’t use her more often , as I preferred support character with more virile offenses .
9. The Highwayman
The Highwayman is an excellent glass cannon type of hero who can destroy opposer but also die quickly if not protect . He ’s perfect in parties where reference switch office often during the battle because he ’s effective in melee and order scrap . Just do n’t countenance him die .
8. The Runaway
The Runaway is a new stratum not see in the original game . She has all - around science and can essentially be effective in any social rank in the company . She ’s all about fire damage and healing , which is an fantabulous option for squad without classic healer options like the Occultist , the Vestal , or the Plague Doctor .

7. The Jester
If you ’re new to the game , you ’ll think the Jester is one of the bad characters in the biz , but in reality , it ’s altogether the inverse . Sarmenti ( that ’s his default name ) is a forever moving loathsome menace that can obliterate enemies while keep other heroes stress - free . Give him a chance initially until you unlock his skill andupgrade his characteristic .
6. The Grave Robber
I have to be honorable ; the Grave Robber is my favorite zep from the days of the first Darkest Dungeon . She ’s still the same tiptop - efficient destroyer of evil with the same - sometime skill . But it ’s never dull to play her , especially if you fiddle her next to the Flagellant and the Plague Doctor - the Blight bunch , as I call them .
5. The Hellion
The Hellion is your favorable neighborhood Goth that can burn monstrosity in half . That ’s one of many reasons Boudica is a democratic weft for the front - row fighters . She can be erratic with her harm , but she ’s almost unstoppable with the right combination of heroes by her side .
4. The Occultist
The Occultist is one of the most valuable characters in Darkest Dungeon 2 . He can do everything - heal , support , and even attack , but at a cost . There ’s always something with this hombre ; if he heals you , there ’s always a jeopardy of bleeding hurt , while his offensive skills take time to lade to be effective . But as a primary backup guy who can also heal , he may be the best plectrum .

3. The Plague Doctor
The Plague Doctor is the character I ’ve used the most in the party . It ’s almost impossible to leave her out , as she ’s one of the most valuable hero in the game . Paracelsus can heal but wreak mayhem with bleed , blast , and blight attacks . You ’ll have to project your political party cautiously if you wish to succeed without her .
2. The Flagellant
The Flagellant is a border overpowered character in Darkest Dungeon 2 . He ’s a berserk class that is serious when his wellness is at 20 % . He ’s very effective as a tank car but also a brawny healer . The keen news is that you could easilyunlock all Flagelant skill , unlike the ones of the Jester or the Runaway , which can be sly .
1. The Leper
The Leper is the most popular selection for the first - rank hero , as he can deal a apparently unlimited amount of price . But Baldwin has many flaws , as Darkest Dungeon II sleep together to make thing distressingly hard . First , he does n’t like move , so he ’ll be almost useless if he gets thrown to the back ranks . Also , you need someone to invariably cross out targets as he almost always has that 50 % fille token glue to him . But if you know how to habituate him , he ’ll protect your hero sandwich and kill everything that moves .
