Mipha is the ace that represents the Zora people in The Legend of Zelda : breathing spell of the Wild . This aquatic nation promise the Lanaryu Province their home , where they house Divine Beast Vah Ruta . The Zora notably had rough relation with Hylians before the calamity , but Mipha still managed to befriend Link .
Mipha admire Link ’s courageousness , but she also found him to be a bit reckless . In her memory board from Breath of the Wild , she states when the two were young , Mipha would always heal Link ’s wounding after he would injure himself . In the same memory board , she vows she would always protect Link .
This caused many theoriser to think Mipha actually liked Link romantically . There ’s plenty of other grounds to this as well , see in both The Champion ’s Ballad DLC and Hyrule Warriors : Age of Calamity .

When Link film on Mipha ’s challenge in the DLC , Mipha reveals she has a diary she demands Link does n’t read ( likely because she confesses her love for Link in the journal ) . There are also scene from before the cataclysm where Mipha is call for Daruk to help her railroad train , solely for the purpose of protect Link .
After the Calamity , Mipha ’s ghostwriter assist Link traverse through Divine Beast Vah Ruta and finally overcome Waterblight Ganon . Once the Divine Beast is capture , Mipha hand Link a rather utile power : Mipha ’s Grace . If Link die out with this ability , he will be reanimate with four extra mettle .
It appears as though Mipha ’s young blood brother , Sidon , will be a prominent character in The Legend of Zelda : Tears of the Kingdom . Sidon is next in phone line to be King of Zora ’s Domain , and he can be seen inone of the trailerswielding Mipha ’s signature Zora Trident .
